Old Pueblo 50 Mile Endurance Run again had its largest field of runners ever.
Ultrarunners from around the country came out to run in one of the most scenic
areas in Southern Arizona.  The full moon and recent snowstorm made the mountain
vistas even more spectacular than previous years. In the Men's race Dennis Poolheco
accomplished a personal goal to win all of the currently held Arizona 50-Mile trail
Races (Crown King, Zane Grey Highline, Man Against Horse & Old Pueblo). Dennis
Poolheco finishing first followed by Tim Varner and Frederic Roberts. The women's
run was spirited, but in the end Pam Reed finished first followed by Jody Chase
and Jenna Carver. This year's views where so mesmerizing that some runners even
choice to stay out on the course longer just to enjoy the views. Thanks to all
the volunteers who gave so generously of their time to make this year's run a
success.
