After a few years absence, Old Pueblo 50 Mile Endurance Run was
re-vitalized by Race Director Duane Arter with resounding success.  The
race started and finished at Kentucky Camp, a turn of the century mining
camp being restored by the Forest Service.  The course is very scenic with
panoramic views, carpets of desert poppies and oak covered trails.  The run
was a woman's sweep with women finishing one, two and three.  Pam Reed ran
a great run winning overall.  Second went to Honey Albrecht followed
closely by Ruth Zollinger.   The men's winner was Ron Harding.  Kentucky
Camp came alive as runners enjoyed burgers and chili at the finish.  Many
thanks to all the volunteers who gave so generously of their time to make
this run a success.  Special thanks goes to Susan Gimbal, Chris Fall, Tim
Varner, Chuck Frame, Margaret Mason, Rich Guth, Ross Zimmerman, Bob and
Mary Alice Bachani, Jennifer and Enrique Aviles, John Mendola and Family,
Pam Gaiser, Eric Davis, Ed Sherlock, John Fendrock, Curt Zacharias, Rebecca
and Paul Tyson, and Ron Larson and Family.
